The drive on Thursday to my first stop of Wells, Nevada was a hot one. 103-104 degrees almost all the way. The tire sensor for the right rear tire on the truck reacted harshly. Said I only had one pound of pressure in the tire. I think it was the heat. Who knows? Darn computers.
The Rubies were so beautiful going out of Elko. The clouds moved in about there and the sun broke through on the green "parks" on the mountains.
Still some snow left up there.

Had a wonderful, laughter-filled visit with Dave and Karen Capron in Wells. Karen used to drive school bus for my boys, gee must have been 100 years ago. Seems a long time back now. Dave was taken with Maddie and Jaxson. Could be because they have a new grandson named Jaxson. Wonder where I got that idea?
On to St. Anthony, Idaho to visit with Guy Hammon and his Kathryn. Guy has connections with Fallon and he has given me some of my very best lessons in fly fishing. We went to a private spot on the Henry's Fork river and I actually caught about a 5 lb. rainbow on the fly rod. what a thrill!! They live on the river bank in a beautiful setting. Their dogs are some of the luckiest dogs I've met. They have the best time in the river. Also, saw a young bull moose that is seen quite often and is getting used to the dogs because he spends most of his time on an island in the river and the dogs don't go over that far.
Hard to see him, I know, but he's right there in the middle and then he was gone. The dogs and I had a wonderful visit. They had a little difficulty with their BIG dogs but they learned what a river is, much to my frayed nerves. Luckily, right in front of the house, it is slow and ankle deep. But! Jaxson isn't much more than ankle-deep high. We had my fresh-caught trout for supper and was it delicious!
I can taste that trout now....It all sounds so idyllic except for the bad reading on the tire. Hope it cools off soon as you get further north..Keep on a 'truckin' woman and enjoy so much!
